       Title: Monte’s Prune Bread

      12 oz Pkg. pitted prunes; chop
     2/3 c  Sugar
     1/3 c  Butter; softened
   1 1/3 c  Water
       1 ts Vanilla extract
   1 1/2 c  Flour
     1/2 c  Whole wheat flour
       1 ts Baking soda
     3/4 ts Cinnamon
     1/4 ts Ground cloves
       1 c  Walnuts; chopped
  
   In a lg. saucepan, combine prunes, sugar, butter, water and vanilla. Bring
   the mixture to a boil, remove the pan from the heat, and let stand for 30
   min. Transfer the mixture to a lg. bowl. Preheat oven to 350. In a med.
   bowl, combine the flours, baking soda, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir the lfour
   mixture into the cooled prune mixture. Add the walnuts, mixing the ingred.
   until they are well combined. Transfer the batter to a greased and floured
   9x5 loafpan.  Place the pan in the hot oven,and bake the bread for 1 hr.
