10 oz. flour
 2 tsp baking powder
 pinch of salt
 4 oz. sugar
 3 oz. almonds, blanched and coarsely chopped
 2 eggs
 6 Tbsp cooking oil
 1 tsp lemon juice
 flavoring (lemon rind or almond extract)
 Beat the eggs and sugar lightly. Add the oil and lemon juice and a little 
 grated lemon rind or almond essence.
 
 Sift the flour and baking powder with a pinch of salt. Add the egg 
 mixture and the almonds and mix to a dough. With floured hands, form 
 into long thin rolls about 3 inches wide. Place on a well-greased and 
 floured baking tin [cookie sheet] and bake in a moderate oven (350 F, 
 Regulo No. 4) until very lightly browned -- about 30-40 minutes. Remove. 
 Cool until nearly cold, then cut across obliquely into slices about 
 1/4-inch thick. Return to the oven until lightly browned.
