                   Cheddar And Chive Bread -1 Pound Loaf

   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

      1/3  cup           water
    1 1/2  tablespoons   crisco oil
    2      teaspoons     honey
      1/2  cup           cheddar cheese
      1/4  cup           Monterey jack cheese -- (or use all cheddar)
    2      large         eggs
    1 2/3  cups          all purpose flour
      1/3  cup           whole wheat flour
    3      tablespoons   powdered milk
      1/2  tablespoon    fresh or dried chives
    1      tablespoon    dried onion flakes
    1      teaspoon      salt
    1      dash          basil
    2      teaspoons     active dry yeast
 
 Put all ingredients in pan, in order listed, or in reverse order if your machin
 e calls for dried ingredients first. Select basic wheat, light setting or bread
  program, or equivalent for your machine. Push start. Note: This makes a great 
 loaf of bread and is excellent toasted. If you don't want to add dried onions, 
 add all chives. I added the basil for extra flavor.
