                         STRAWBERRY SOURDOUGH BREAD

    1 1/2   c            All purpose flour
    1 1/2   c            Strawberries,
                         -sliced
      1/2   ts           Baking soda
      3/4   c            Sugar
    2                    Eggs
    1       c            Walnuts, chopped
      3/4   c            Sourdough starter
 
   In a large bowl lightly beat the eggs.  Mix in the oil
   and sugar, and sourdough.  Add the flour and soda.
   Stir until flour is just blended. Fold in the
   strawberries and walnuts.  Do not overblend or the
   bread may be tough.  Butter and lightly flour and 8
   1/2x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan. Pour the batter into pan and
   bake on center rack in oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes
   at 350F or until an inserted toothpick comes out
   clean. Turn out onto wire rack to cool.  Cut and
   serve. This is very good with Sunday Morning Brunch
   served warm with fresh strawberry jam or strawberries
   and whipped cream.
