* Exported from MasterCook II * Whole Wheat Hamburger And Hot Dog Buns - 1 Pound Recipe By : Serving Size : 7 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Bread Tried And True Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 Large Egg 1/2 Teaspoon Salt 3 Tablespoons Shortening 3 Tablespoons Sugar 1 1/3 Cups Flour, All-Purpose 2/3 Cup Flour, Whole-Grain Wheat 2 Teaspoons Yeast 5/8 Cup Water -- warmed Place ingredients in bread pan in order listed. Set at dough setting. When done for hamburger buns cut and shape into 7 pieces. For hot dog buns cut and shape into 8 pieces. Grease baking sheet. Roll pieces of dough into balls and flatten for shape. Place on prepared sheet (lightly spray cookie sheet with pam). Cover and let rise in a warm place for approx. 1 hour. Bake at 400 for 12 - 15 minutes until golden brown. Cool on racks. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : Don't make buns to large because they get bigger during the second rise.
