       Title: Kletskopjes (Chatter Boxes)

     1/2 c  Butter; softened
   1 1/2 c  Brown sugar, packed
     1/8 ts Salt
       1 c  All-purpose flour; sifted
     1/2 c  Blanched almonds; chopped
            (2 1/2 ozs)

     These cookies are so named because they crackle and crunch when you eat
   them.
      In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix very well. Form into
   small balls the size of marbles. Place on ungreased cookie sheets, about 2
   1/2 inches apart. Place on lower rack of oven and bake at 400 degrees for 5
   minutes or until dough flattens out. Cool and remove with a spatula. Do not
