       Title: Norwegian Molasses Cookies

       Yield: 7 servings
       1 c  Lard
       2 c  Sugar
       2    Eggs
       1 c  Molasses
       5 c  Flour; sifted
       3 ts Baking soda
     1/8 ts Salt
       Cream together lard and sugar until light and fluffy.Add eggs, one at a
   time, beating well after each addition. Beat in molasses.Sift together
   flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir into creamed mixture. Cover
   with plastic wrap.Chill 1 hour in refrigerator.
       Shape dough in 1 1/4 balls. Place 2 apart on greased baking sheets.
   Bake in 350 oven 18 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from baking
   sheets; cool on racks.
