       Title: Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Cookies

   1 3/4 c  Flour
     1/2 ts Salt
     1/2 ts Baking soda
     1/2 ts Baking powder
     1/2 c  Shortening
       1 c  Sugar
       1    Egg
       1 ts Vanilla extract
     1/4 c  Milk
      18 lg Marshmallows; halved
      36    Pecan halves; if desired
       2 c  Confectioners' sugar
       5 tb Cocoa powder
     1/8 ts Salt
       3 tb Butter or margarine;
            -softened
       4 tb Light cream; (4 to 5)
  
       Sift together first 4 ingredients. Set aside. In mixing
   bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, vanilla and
   milk. Add flour mixture and mix well. Drop by heaping
   teaspoonfuls about 2 apart onto greased cookie sheets.
   Bake at 350 for 8 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Remove cookies
   from oven, and top each with a marshmallow half. Return to
   oven for 2 minutes. Place cookies on wire racks to cool.
      Meanwhile, beat last 5 ingredients together. Spread on
   each cookie, and top with a pecan half, if desired.
