       Title: GINGERBREAD & SAUCE

       Yield: 9 Servings
  
   1 1/2 c  Flour
     1/2 c  Sugar
       1 ts Ginger
     1/2 ts Salt
       1 ts Baking soda
     1/2 c  Molasses; green label
       1    Egg
     1/2 c  Shortening
            - fill to 1 cup with boiling
            Raisin sauce:
       1 c  Brown sugar
       1 c  Water
       1 tb Butter
       1 ts Vanilla
            Grated rind & juice of one o
       1 tb Cornstarch
     1/2 c  Raisins
  
   Recipe by: Fern Van Tilburg Place all cake ingredents in a large bowl; mix
   at medium speed about 3 minutes. Bake in a 8x8 pan 30 minutes at 350
   degrees.
   
   For sauce:  place all ingredients in a saucepan, stir and cook over
   low-medium heat until thickened.
