       Title: Pecan Delights

       Yield: 4 Dozen
  
            -Sue Woodward
   2 1/4 c  Brown sugar; packed
       1 c  Butter; or margarine
       1 c  Light corn syrup
     1/8 ts Salt
       1 cn 14-oz. sweetnd condnsd milk
       1 ts Vanilla extract
   1 1/2 lb Whole pecans
       1 c  Semisweet chocolate chips
            -(6-oz.)
       1 c  Milk chocolate chips
       2 tb Shortening
  
   In a lg. saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Cook
   over med. heat until all sugar is dissolved. Gradually add milk and mix
   well. Continue cooking until candy thermometer reads 248~ (firm ball
   stage).  Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla until blended. Fold in the
   pecans.  Drop by tbspfuls onto a waxed paper-lined cookie sheet. Chill
   until firm.  Melt chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave safe bowl
   or double boiler.  Drizzle over each cluster.
