       Title: BUTTERSCOTCH WAFERS - MOM'S RECIPE - DADDY'S

       Yield: 2 Servings
  
     1/2 c  Sugar
       1 tb Oleo
     1/4 c  White syrup
     1/2 ts Vanilla
     1/4 c  Water
  
   Combine sugar, syrup, and water.  Cook over low heat, stirring until sugar
   is dissolved.
   
   Continue cooking gently, do not stir!  Let mixture heat to 265F on a candy
   thermometer or until mixture forms a hard ball in cold water. Add oleo and
   cook to 290F or until a drop in cold water becomes brittle. Remove from
   heat. Add vanilla and drop from tsp onto a greased pan when firm.
