       Yield: 24 Servings
       2 c  Sugar
     1/2 c  Light corn syrup
     1/4 ts Salt
     1/2 c  Hot water
       2    Egg whites, beaten (1/4 c)
       1 ts Vanilla
   Make only 2 batches at one time.
   Bring the sugar, syrup, salt and hot water to a boil. Boil until the hard
   ball stage is reached (254~ (?)). Do not stir. With beater running, pour
   the syrup over the beaten whites. Beat until stiff.
   Add vanilla and nuts just before ready to drop onto waxed paper, if
   desired. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper or a buttered sheet.
