                              Baked Applesauce

    4 1/2  cups          cooking apples -- cut in 1 cubes
      3/4  cup           water
      3/4  cup           apple juice
      1/4  teaspoon      nutmeg
      1/4  cup           cinnamon
      1/2  teaspoon      vanilla
 
 Wash, peel and core apples.  Cut in 1 " cubes.  Combine all ingredients.
 Place in a glass loaf dish (apple stay moist in a loaf pan) and pour
 juice mixture over the top.
 Bake, uncovered, in a 325 F preheated oven for 45 minute.  Remove from
 oven and cool.	Store in the refrigerator tightly covered.  May be frozen.  
Makes 2 cups.
