Quantity of Apples Butter (not margarine) to coat cinnamon or “apple pie” spice to taste brown sugar Peel, core, and slice as many apples as you want. Keep in mind that they “melt down”, like onions! Melt enough butter (not margarine, sorry) in a frying pan to coat the apples. Throw the apples in and saute on medium heat until soft. Add some cinnamon, or “apple pie spice” and some brown sugar.
