    2       c            Long-grain rice, uncooked
    2       lg           Green peppers -- chopped
    2       lg           Celery stalks -- chopped
    2       ts           Cumin seeds -- crushed
    1       t            To 1-1/2 t salt
      1/2   ts           Pepper
      1/4   ts           Garlic powder
    6       c            Water
    8       oz           Can tomato sauce
 
   Heat oil over medium-high heat in a heavy Dutch oven;
   add rice and next 7 ingredients, and cook until rice
   is browned, stirring often. Stir in water and tomato
   sauce; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium; cover
   and cook 25 minutes or until rice is tender.  Yield 8
