                                Saffron Rice

    1 1/4  C             Long-Grain Brown Rice
    2 1/2  C             Water
    1      Tsp           Salt
           Pinch         Saffron Threads
 
      Wash the rice, drain and dry.  Put rice into a heavy-bottomed saucepan
 with water, salt and saffron.  Bring to boil, the cover and turn heat to
 low.  Cook for 40-45 minutes until rice is tender and water is absorbed.
 Remove from heat and leave cover on for 5 minutes.  Fluff rice gently with
 a fork.
 
 Serves 4
