                                Garden Salad

    1      cup           sugar
      1/2  cup           vinegar
    1      teaspoon      salt
    1      teaspoon      pepper
      1/2  cup           Wesson Oil
    1      can           (#303) French style green beans
    1      can           (12 oz.) LeSueur shoe peg corn
    1      can           (8 1/2 oz.) Lesueur early peas
    1      jar           (2 oz.) diced pimentos
    1      cup           celery
    1      cup           bell pepper
    2      bunches       green onions
 
 Bring the first 5 ingredients to a rolling boil; then put aside and let cool to
  room temperature (sometimes I set the mixture in the freezer while I prepare t
 he remainder of the ingredients.)  Drain ingredients Number 6 through 9 in a co
 lander.  Cut up ingredients; 10, 11, and 12.  Combine all the above and refrige
 rate.  This should have time to get very cold before serving.  This recipe make
 s quite a lot.  Also, it may be made a day or so in advance because it will kee
 p for about a week in the refrigerator.
