                            Marinated Vegetables

    1      can           sm. English peas -- drained
    1      can           white shoe peg corn -- drained
    1      can           French style green beans drained
      1/2  cup           diced celery
      1/2  cup           chopped onion -- up to 1
      1/2  cup           chopped green onion
    1      cup           sugar
    1      teaspoon      salt
      1/2  teaspoon      pepper
      1/2  cup           vegetable oil
      3/4  cup           vinegar
 
 Combine vegetables, tossing lightly.  Combine remaining ingredients in a medium
  saucepan; bring to a boil over low heat, stirring occasionally. Pour over vege
 tables, stirring gently to blend well.  Cover and refrigerate 24 hours.  Yield:
  6 to 8 servings.
