                              CURRIED CABBAGE

      1/2  medium        head of cabbage -- quartered
    4      tablespoons   butter or margarine
    4      tablespoons   all-purpose flour
           dash          pepper
      1/2  teaspoon      curry powder
    2      tablespoons   minced onion
    1      teaspoon      salt
      3/4  cup           milk
 
 Assemble and attach rotor slicer/shredder using thin slicer cone (no 4).
 Turn to speed 4 and slice cabbage.  Steam cabbage over boiling water just
 until tender.
 
 Melt butter in double broiler over boiling water.  Stir in flour, pepper,
 curry powder, onion, and salt.  Gradually add milk, stirring constantly,
 until smooth.  Continue cooking until thickened.  Do not boil.
 
 Place cabbage in a serving dish and add sauce.  Toss well to coat cabbage.
 Serve immediately.
 
 Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
