                         Lemon Rosemary Green Beans

    2      pounds        green beans -- ends snipped and
                         -- cut into 1-inch
                         -- pieces
    3      tablespoons   unsalted butter
    1      teaspoon      lemon zest -- freshly grated
    1      tablespoon    fresh rosemary leaves minced -- or
    1      teaspoon      dried rosemary -- crumbled
 In a large kettle of boiling salted water cook the beans for 5 minutes, or unti
 l they are crisp-tender, and drain.  While the beans are cooking, in a small sa
 ucepan melt the butter over low heat with the zest, rosemary, and salt and pepp
 er to taste .  Keep the mixture warm.  Transfer the beans to a serving dish and
  pour the butter mixture over the beans.  Toss well and serve warm.

 If you can't find fresh green beans in your local at this time of the year, you
  can substitute 16-oz.  of frozen green beans that are already trimmed.  Just v
 ary the cooking time and serve as directed.
