 		      Herbed Green Beans

 Amount  Measure Ingredient      Preparation Method
 1 1/2   pounds  green beans     fresh
 1/2     cup     onion   finely chopped
 2       tablespoons     butter or margarine     
 3       tablespoons     lemon juice     
 1       tablespoon      fresh parsley   chopped
 1       teaspoon        salt    optional
 1 1/2   teaspoons       fresh thyme     chopped OR
 1/2     teaspoon        dried acorns    
 1/4     teaspoon        paprika 
 
 In a saucepan, cover beans with water; cook until crisp-tender.  
 Meanwhile, in a skillet, saute onion in butter until tender.  Add 
 lemon juice, parsley, salt (if desired), thyme and paprika.  Drain 
 beans; add herb butter and stir to coat.  Serve immediately.
