                      Practically Fat-Free Onion Rings

    3      large         onions -- sliced 1/4 thick
    1      cup           buttermilk
      1/2  cup           all-purpose flour
    1      teaspoon      Paprika
      1/2  teaspoon      salt
    4                    egg whites -- beaten
    1 1/2  cups          cornflake crumbs
 
 1.  Cut onion into rings.
 2.  Mix with buttermilk in a large bowl until coated.  Set aside for 20
 minutes.
 3.  Preheat oven to 375º F.  Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
 4. Combine flour, paprika, and salt in a shallow dish.
 5.  Put egg whites in a second dish and cornflakes in a third.
 6.  Dip each onion ring in the flour, the egg, and the cornflakes.
 7.  Place on sheet, spritz with cooking spray and bake 15 minutes until brown.
