                          SWEET POTATO APPLE BAKE

    3      medium        Sweet potatoes; cooked -- peeled and sliced
    2      large         Apples -- UNpeeled and thinly
      1/3  cup           Golden raisins
      1/4  cup           Almonds -- toasted and chopped
    2      tablespoons   Butter; or margarine -- melted
      1/3  cup           Brown sugar -- packed
      1/2  cup           Quick cooking oats
    2      teaspoons     Lemon peel -- grated
 
 1. In a large bowl, combine sweet potatoes, apples, raisins and almonds.
 2.  Spoon into a shallow 1 1/2 quart greased baking dish.
 3. In a small bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, oats and lemon peel; sprinkle
over sweet potato mixture.
 4.  Bake uncovered at 350 deg for 35 minutes or until apples are tender.
 
  NOTE: Can be used instead of sweet potatoes
