       Title: Sauerkraut Casserole

       Yield: 6 servings
  
       1 lb Italian sausage, mild               1 cn Sauerkraut, 27oz; undrained
            -cut into 1-inch slices             1 c  -water
       1    Onion, lg. -chopped               1/2 c  Brown sugar; packed
       2    Apples; peeled and quartered        2 ts Caraway seed
  
    In a skillet, cook sausage and onion until sausage is brown and onion is
   tender; drain. Stir in apples, sauerkraut, water, brown sugar and caraway
   seed. Transfer to a 2-1/2 quart baking dish.
    Cover and bake at 350F for 1 hour. Garnish with snipped parsley if
   desired.
