    3      cups          water
    1      teaspoon      salt
    1      teaspoon      pepper
    1      teaspoon      oregano
    1      teaspoon      onion salt
    1      teaspoon      garlic salt
    1      teaspoon      basil
    1      package       Good Seasons Italian Salad
                         dressing mix**
    1                    onion -- (optional)
 
 * (we use two small chuck roast for a total of 5 lbs) **(this is the envelope o
 f dry powder)
 
 Pour ingredients over beef and cook on low all day in crockpot. Shred beef and 
 return to broth for 15 minutes. Serve on buns or french or Italian bread or rol
 ls. Freezing tip: After I make this, we refrigerate it and all the fat rises to
  the top and I can just peel it off. THEN, we freeze it and it is much less fat
 ty. This freezes great - seems to taste even better the second time around!
