                     Slow Cooker Spicy Pork and Cabbage

    4                    pork loin chops (up to 6), trimmed -- 1 inch thick
                         salt and pepper
                         Kitchen Bouquet
    4      cups          coarsely shredded cabbage
    3                    tart apples (or 4) -- cored and diced
      1/2  small         onion -- chopped
    2      whole         cloves
      1/2  small         bay leaf
    1 3/8  cups          sugar
    1      cup           water
    2      tablespoons   cider vinegar
    2      teaspoons     salt
 
 serves 4 to 6
 
 Season pork chops lightly with salt and pepper and brush with kitchen bouquet; 
 set aside.  Place cabbage, apples and onion in Crock-Pot.  Add remaining ingred
 ients except pork chops.  Toss together well to evenly distribute spices.  Arra
 nge chops on top of cabbage mixture, stacking to fit.  Cover and cook on Low fo
 r 8 to 10 hours or on High for 4 to 5 hours.
