                             Hearty Beef Ragout

    3      pounds        boneless beef chuck -- cut in 1 pieces
      1/2  cup           flour
    1      teaspoon      salt
      1/4  teaspoon      pepper
    1      8 oz pkg      precooked sausage links -- cut in 1 pieces
    2      cups          chopped leeks
    4      stalks        celery -- cut up
    3                    potatoes -- peeled and cubed
    1      16 oz can     whole tomatoes
    1      teaspoon      leaf oregano
    2      cloves        garlic -- minced
      1/2  cup           beef broth
    1      teaspoon      Kitchen Bouquet
    2      tablespoons   flour
    3      tablespoons   water
 
 serves 8
 
 Wipe beef well.  Combine 1/3 cup flour with salt and pepper.  Toss beef cubes w
 ith flour mixture to coat thoroughly; place in Crock-Pot.  Add remaining ingred
 ients, except 2 tablespoons flour and the water, in order listed; stir well.  C
 over and cook on Low for 8 to 12 hours or on High for 4 to 6 hours.
 
 One hour before serving, turn to High setting.  Make a smooth paste of 2 tables
 poons flour and the water; stir into Crock-Pot, mixing well.  Cover and cook un
 til thickened.
