                             Peppered Meat Loaf

    2      pounds        ground chuck
      1/2  pound         bulk sausage
    1      large         onion -- finely chopped
    3      cloves        garlic -- minced
    1      8 oz can      tomato sauce
      1/2  cup           ketchup
      3/4  cup           crushed saltine crackers
    2                    eggs
    2      teaspoons     Worcestershire sauce
    1      teaspoon      seasoned salt
      1/4  teaspoon      seasoned pepper
    1                    potato (or 2)peeled, cut into fingers
                         ***Sauce***
    1      cup           ketchup
      1/3  cup           brown sugar
    1 1/2  teaspoons     dry mustard
      1/2  teaspoon      nutmeg
 
 serves 6 to 8
 
 Combine all ingredients except potatoes and sauce; mix well and shape into a lo
 af.  Place potatoes in bottom of Crock-Pot.  Top potatoes with meat loaf.  Mix 
 sauce ingredients together well.  Pour sauce over all. Cover and cook on Low fo
 r 8 to 12 hours.
