      title: quiche lorraine

       6 sl bacon
       4 ea egg
     1/2 c  swiss cheese
     1/2 t  salt
     1/2 c  onion
     1/8 t  freshly grated nutmeg
     1/4 t  cayenne
       1 ea pie shell
       1 c  half and half
 sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in bottom of pie shell.
 beat together eggs, cream and seasonings.
 pour egg mixture into pie shell.
 bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 15 minutes on bottom shelf.
 reduce temperature to 325f and continue baking 20 minutes or till knife
 inserted comes out
 let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.
 serve warm or at room temperature.
