                          Noodle and Beef Skillet

    1 1/2  pounds        ground beef
    2                    onion -- minced
      1/2  cup           finely chopped green pepper
    2      Tablespoons   butter
      1/2  pound         mushrooms -- sliced
    3      cups          beef bouillon
    3      Tablespoons   flour
      1/4  cup           water
           Dash          tobasco sauce
    1      teaspoon      salt
                         pepper
      1/2  teaspoon      thyme or basil
      1/2  pound         flat noodles -- cooked
 
 Cook the beef in a heavy skillet, adding a small amount of butter if
 necessary, until slightly browned, breaking it up with a fork as it cooks;
 set aside.  Cook the onions and green pepper in 2 tablespoons of butter until
 soft.  Add the mushrooms and saute' for 5 minutes, covered.  Add the meat and
 cook for 5 minutes more.  Add the bouillon and heat to boiling.  Meanwhile
 mix the flour with the water into a smooth paste and add this to skillet when
 the contents are boiling.  Stir in the seasonings and simmer for 15 minutes,
 stirring occasionally.  Add the noodles and heat.  Makes 6 servings.
