       Title: Anise Sausage Stirfry

       Yield: 4 Servings
       1    Can (20 oz)chunk pineapple in
     1/2 lb Polish sausage
            Vegetable oil
       2 lg Cloves garlic, quartered
       1 lg Yellow onion, sliced
       2 c  Thinly sliced carrots
       2 tb Minced ginger root
       1 bn Broccoli, cut in flowerets
     3/4 c  Chicken broth
       3 tb Soy sauce
       2 tb Cornstarch
     1/8    To 1/4 - tsp anise seed
   Drain pineapple, reserving juice. In wok or skillet, stir-fry sausage in 1
   tablespoon oil for 1 minute. Remove from wok. Add oil as needed. Stir-fry
   garlic, onion, carrots and ginger until onion is soft. Add broccoli;
   stir-fry until tender and crisp. Stir in pineapple. Combine reserved
   pineapple juice with remaining
   ingredients. Pour into wok. Stir and cook until sauce boils and thickens.
   Serve over rice. Serves 4.
