                              Pot Roasted Pork

   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    4      to 5 lbs.     pork roast
                         salt and pepper -- to taste
    1      clove         garlic -- slivered
    2      medium        onions -- sliced
    2                    bay leaves
    1      whole         clove
    1      cup           hot water -- more if using frypan
    2      tablespoons   soy sauce
    2      tablespoons   cornstarch mixed with 2 T. water
 
 Rub pork roast with salt and pepper. Make slits and insert garlic slivers
 Brown in frypan ofr 10-15 minutes.
 
 To Cook In Frypan: Cook with other ingredients listed, except cornstarch and
 water for 3-4 hours.
 
 To Cook in Crockpot: Put 1 slice of onion in bottom of pot. Add browned pork
 and rest of ingredients, except cornstarch and water.  Cover and cook on Low
 for 8-10 hours.
 
 When done, remove roast to serving platter. Blend cornstarch and cold water to
 form paste. Set Pan or Pot on High and pour in paste. Stir well. Let come to
 boil until thickened.
