                            MACCARONI AND SAUCE

   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    2       tb           Olive Oil
      3/4   c            Onion -- chopped
    2                    Cloves Garlic -- minced
    2       sm           Cans Tomato Paste
    2 1/2   c            Water
    1 1/4   tb           Oregano
    1 1/4   tb           Basil
                         Salt -- to taste
      1/8   tb           Pepper
    4       oz           Can Mushrooms
                         Grated Parmesan Cheese
 
   Serve with macaroni or your choice of pasta.
   
   Heat oil in heavy saucepan, saute garlic and onion
   till tender. Combine remaining [not cheese] and stir
   into garlic mixture. Cook sauce until it is as thick
   as you like.
   
   Ten minutes before serving stir cheese into sauce.
   
   It is really good if you toss parmesan cheese into your
   pasta before serving.  As much or little as you like.
   
   This was brought to our potluck on Thursday.  Reaylly
   GOOD!
