                      Macaroni With Ham and Asparagus

      1/2  pound         Ham diced
    1      cup           Heavy cream
    2      cup           Asparagus tips and stems
                         Salt and pepper to taste
                         steamed (1 pieces -- tender
    1      pound         Macaroni cooked according to
                         only)(fresh only)
                         directions
      1/4  cup           Butter
                         Grated cheese (parmigiana)
    2      Med           onions chopped
 
 Saute onions in butter until pale in color. Add asparagus and ham and saute for 2
min. Keep heat low and add heavy cream. After 30 seconds turn OFF heat.(don`t get
the cream too hot or it will separate). Pour over hot cooked pasta and toss with
cheese. Serve with extra cheese on the side.
