 1       pound   bulk italian sausage    
 
 1       pound   bulk hot italian sausage        
 
 4       cloves  garlic  minced
 1       cup     green pepper    chopped
 1/2     cup     chopped onion   
 
 1       can     tomato sauce    15 ounces
 2       tablespoons     fresh parsley   minced
 1       teaspoon        dried oregano   
 
 1/2     teaspoon        chili powder    
 
 1/4     teaspoon        fennel seed     
 
 8               french rolls    split
 3/4     cup     mozzarella cheese       shredded
                         
 
 
 In a large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat, cook sausages, 
 
 garlic, green pepper and onion until the sausage is no longer pink.  
 
 Drain.  Add the tomato sauce and seasonings; bring to a boil.  Reduce 
 
 heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes.  Spoon about 1/2 cup onto each 
 
 roll; sprinkle with cheese.
 
 Yield:  8-10 sandwiches.
