                               Cheese Toasts

    3      Lg            Eggs
      2/3  C             Mayonnaise
      1/3  C             Romano Cheese -- grated
    1      Tsp           Hungarian Paprika
           Dash          Cayenne
    1      Tsp           Italian Seasoning
   12      Slices        Bread -- good bread
 
 In a shallow dish, beat together the eggs and the mayonaise.
 
 In a flat plate, combine all the remaining ingredients except the bread.
 
 Trim crusts from bread and slice each piece into three strips.
 
 Grease a large baking sheet.
 
 Dip each piece of bread into eggs, drain, then coat in cheese  mixture,
thoroughly but not heavily.  Place on prepared baking sheet.  (May be
refrigerated at this point for upt to six hours.)
 
 Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 10-12 minutes or til the tops are golden. 
Let cool on sheet for one minute, then remove to serving platter.
 
 These are tasty when served at room temperature.
