                       Red Wine and Oregano Marinade

   Amount  Measure       Ingredient -- Preparation Method

      1/4  cup           finely chopped onion
      1/4  cup           finely chopped fresh oregano or 2 tsp. dry
    6      cloves        garlic -- minced
      1/4  teaspoon      pepper
      1/4  cup           dry red wine
    3      Tablespoons   soy sauce
    1      Tablespoon    extra-virgin olive oil
    1      Tablespoon    red wine vinegar
 
 In blender container, combine all ingredients; blend well.  Pour mixture over
 lamb chops, beef steak, or lamb or beef cubes for kabobs.  Let stand at room
 temperature for 15 minutes to marinate.  Makes 3/4 cup--enough for 4 servings
 of meat.
