                         Custard-Based Rice Pudding

      2/3  cup           rice
    1 1/3  cups          milk
      1/8  teaspoon      salt
    3 1/2  tablespoons   sugar
    1      tablespoon    soft butter
    1      teaspoon      vanilla
    2                    Eggs
      1/3  cup           raisins
 
  Cook rice according to package directions; drain it and rinse it with cold
 water.
 
  combine milk, salt, sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs with rice; beat well.
 
  Add raisins; mix lightly with fork.
 
  Grease a baking dish and pour mixture in.
 
  Bake at 350 degrees until it is set and a knife inserted in center comes out
 clean.
