                        All-Purpose Chocolate Sauce

    1      C             Powdered Sugar
    1      C             Heavy Cream
    1      Stick         Butter -- cut in bits
      1/2  C             Unsweetened Cocoa Powder -- firmly packed
    3      Oz            Bittersweet Or Semisweet Chocolate -- cut-up
    2      Tbsp          Amaretto Or Other Almond-Flavored Liqueur
    2      Tbsp          Chocolate-Flavored Liqueur
 
 In a small saucepan, combine powdered sugar, cream, butter, cocoa, and 
 chocolate. Place over low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until 
 chocolate melts and sauce is smooth and glossy, 3 to 5 mins. Remove from 
 heat and stir in amaretto and chocolate liqueur. Let cool to room 
 temperature.

 NOTES : Try varying the liqueurs to suit your taste. If you want it 
        non-alcoholic, leave out the liqueur and substitute 1/4 cup of 
        strong coffee.
