                       Todd English’s Raspberry Sauce

   24      ounces        raspberries, frozen unsweetened -- thawed
      1/2  cup           sugar
    1      teaspoon      lemon juice, fresh
      1/4  cup           water
 
 In a heavy saucepan, simmer all ingredients, stirring, until sugar is 
 dissolved.  Cool mixture.  In a blender, puree mixture and strain through 
 fine sieve into a bowl, pressing on solids.
 
 Sauce may be made one day ahead, chilled, and covered.
