                  Four Barbecue Spice Mixtures (American)

                         Basic Spice
    1      tsp           black peppercorns
    1      tsp           celery seeds
      1/2  tsp           cayenne
      1/2  tsp           dried thyme
      1/2  tsp           dried marjoram
    2      tsp           paprika
    1      tbsp          mustard powder
    1      tbsp          soft brown sugar
 
 Crush the peppercorns and celery seeds in a mortar and mix all the 
 ingredients together.
 A medium-hot blend: rub on meat before grilling.
