                       Granny Smith Apple Wine Ice

--------  ------------  --------------------------------
   6                    Granny Smith apples -- peel, core
     2/3  Cup           lemon juice -- or lime,
                        or combination
     1/3  Cup           sugar
     1/3  Cup           Granny Smith apple wine

Thinly slice 5 of the apples; puree in a blender or food
processor. In a glass or ceramic bowl, combine puree with the
lemon or lime juice. Add sugar and wine, stirring until sugar
is dissolved. Pour mixture into electric ice cream maker.
Process until firm, following manufacturer's instructions.
Serve or freeze for later use. 

Serves 6.
