                            Annie’s Apple Bread

      1/2  cup           Butter or margarine
    1      teaspoon      Baking powder
      2/3  cup           Sugar
      1/2  teaspoon      Salt
    2                    Eggs -- beaten
    2      cups          Chopped apples
    1      tablespoon    Lemon juice
    1      cup           Chopped black walnuts or
    2      cups          Flour
                         pecans
 
 Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and lemon juice. Stir in
 flour, baking powder and salt. Fold in apples and nuts. Bake in a greased
 and floured 9x5x3 loaf pan for 45-55 minutes.
 
  Yield: 1 loaf
