       Title: Raw Apple Cake

       Yield: 1 Servings
     1/2 c  Vegetable shortening
       2 c  Granulated sugar
       2    Large eggs
       2 c  All-purpose flour
       1 ts Nutmeg
       1 ts Baking soda
       1 ts Salt
       2 ts Cinnamon
       4 c  Apples; finely chopped
     1/2 c  Dates; chopped
     1/2 c  Raisins, seedless
       2 c  Nuts; chopped
       2 tb Margarine
       1 c  Confectioner’s sugar
     1/2 ts Vanilla
       2 tb Apple juice
   APPLE CAKE:  Cream shortening and sugar.  Stir in eggs. Sift together and
   add all dry ingredients.  Stir in apples, dates, raisins and nuts. Bake 1
   hour at 325 degrees in lightly greased & floured 13x9x2 pan or tube pan.
   APPLE FROSTING: Beat together 2 T margarine, 1 cup sifted confectlioner’s
   sugar, and 1/2 t vanilla. Add 1 to 2 T apple juice, beating till frosting
   is of spreading consistency.
