                               Fresh Pear Pie

    1                    9 inch pie crust -- unbaked
    4      cups          pears (about 7 medium) -- sliced and peeled
      1/2  cup           sugar
      1/3  cup           flour
      1/2  teaspoon      mace
 
 Mix together the sugar, flour, and mace and lightly toss with the 
 sliced pears.  Place in unbaked pie shell.  For topping mix together 
 1 c. flour, 1/2 c. butter (softened), 1/2 c. brown sugar and sprinkle 
 on top of pears.  Bake at 425 degrees for 50 minutes.
