                              Peach Crumb Pie

    2 1/2  tablespoons   tapioca
      3/4  cup           sugar
      1/4  teaspoon      salt
    4      cups          sliced peaches
      1/3  cup           packed brown sugar
      1/4  cup           flour
      1/2  teaspoon      cinnamon
    2 1/2  tablespoons   soft butter
 
 Mix together the first 4 ingredients, then let the mixture set for 5 minutes be
 fore pouring it into an unbaked 9-inch pie shell. Mix the rest of the ingredien
 ts for the crumb topping, then put it on top of the fruit filling. Bake the pie
  at 425 oF for 24 to 50 minutes. 
 
 Variations: Other fruit may be used, but this recipe is especially good with ap
