                                 Pecan Pie

    1                    unbaked 9-inch pie shell
    5      large         eggs
    1      cup           granulated sugar
    1      cup           white corn syrup
      1/4  teaspoon      salt
    1      teaspoon      vanilla
    2      tablespoons   melted butter
    1      cup           choped pecans or walnuts
 
      Break eggs into a large mixing bowl and beat well. Add sugar, corn
 syrup, salt, vanilla and butter, one ingredient at a time, beating well
 after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into pie shell and bake about 1
 hour at 350 degrees. Pie filling will set and be firm when done.
