       Title: Oatmeal Pie/woman’s Circle

       Yield: 1 servings
  
     1/4 c  Butter
     1/2 c  Sugar
       1 ts Cinnamon
     1/4 ts Salt
     3/4 c  Dark corn syrup
     1/4 c  Honey
       3    Eggs
       1 c  Quick oats
       1    Unbacked pie shell/9 inch

     Cream sugar and butter.  Beat in cinnamon and salt.  Add
   syrup and honey, then eggs, one at a time.  Stir in oats.
   Pour in shell and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, or
   until center tests done.
   
   During baking the oatmeal rises and forms a chewy, nutty
   crust on the top of the pie. This is a very good pie recipe
   I got from Women’s Circle Cooking With Taste.  It does fall
   into the realm of inexpensive recipes.  It’s very
   good...ends up something like a mock pecan pie...the
   oatmeal rises to the top and forms a chewy crust without
   the sometimes exorbitant cost of pecans. JM
