       Title: Sour Cream Apple Pie

       Yield: 6 Servings
  
            Cooking apples; 5-7
     2/3 c  Sour cream
     1/3 c  Sugar
       1 lg Egg; slightly beaten
     1/4 ts Salt
       1 ts Vanilla extract
       3 tb Flour
            9 unbaked pie shell
            Topping
       5 tb Brown sugar
       5 tb Granulated sugar
       2 ts Cinnamon
   1 1/2 c  Walnuts; chopped
  
   Peel, core & thinly slice apples.  Drop slices into mixing bowl. In small
   bowl, mix sour cream, sugar, egg, salt, vanilla & flour. Toss with apples
   to coat. Spoon apple mixture into pie crust. Prepare topping. Sprinkle
   evenly over apple filling. Set pie on middle rack of preheated 350^ oven &
   bake 55 - 65 minutes, or until apples are tender. Lynn Herrick
