                                Custard Pie

                         9 inch pie crust
    4                    eggs
      1/2  cup           sugar
      1/4  teaspoon      salt
    3      cups          milk
    1      teaspoon      vanilla
 
 Preheat oven to 450° Brush unbaked pie crust with egg white, set aside. 
 Scald milk, add sugar, salt, eggs, and vanilla. Pour into crust, bake for 10 mi
 nutes,
  reduce heat to 300° and bake for another 45-50 minutes.
